It's Monday already!

Boy, do the weekends fly by fast! Saturday morning the girls and I had cantata practice at church from 9-11:30am. The other 3 stayed home with dad and played outside for awhile while he split wood, then came in and played video games. Saturday afternoon, Jeremy went hunting out at the property and we got ready to go to Nana's for a visit with the Christopher's, Wehrli's, etc. The Christophers had come up from Indiana for the weekend for a visit. I made enchilada's for dinner before we left. Jeremy was going to meet me there, but when we arrived, he called and told me the car wouldn't start. We haven't had much luck with cars this year! In April, someone broadsided me in the Buick by running a stop sign. I had all the kids in the car and feel very fortunate no one got hurt. The buick was ugly, but still drivable until we bought a venture minivan in May. Very nice little van (1998) and fun to drive, more economical than the Suburban! Last week, however, discovered an oil leak and needs to have some major work done which is expensive as well. So, that is not drivable until we get the work done. So, he drove the buick and it ended up stalling out and wouldn't start. Now, back to one vehicle which isn't very fun when everyone has such a busy schedule! Thank goodness I am not working and can be the "taxi driver". Anyway, finally got everyone back to Nana's house and visited until 11pm or so and then back home to bed. Sunday morning was the kids' sunday school program at church and then our cantata at 11am. Everything went fine except we had a snowstorm during the night that dropped about 8 inches of snow! So we spent most of Sunday afternoon (Jeremy did) working on getting the plow on the tractor and getting the driveway plowed. The kids played outside after church for awhile and enjoyed the fresh snow thanks to Erin - she went to the hat/glove drawer and came back with nothing that matched on wanting to go outside to "snowman"! No school today so we have been laying around all morning, and now I'm trying to get motivated! I hope you have a great day - only 7 more days til Christmas as Isaac reminds me everyday!

Intro - from me this time!

Hi, this is Christine and I thought I'd say a few things as well. We are a very busy family who seem to love being on the go constantly. Amber (17), is working every night for 2 hours, besides going to church, school, youth activities, babysitting here and there, friends, telephone conversations, etc. Brooke (14) is busy as well with church, youth group, friends, babysitting, etc. but is home more than Amber. Curt (11) is busy all the time just being busy. He loves to play video games and that is the only time he seems to sit still without wiggling constantly. He is goofy and lovable. Isaac (5) is also busy. He likes to do whatever Curt does, follows him around constantly and tries to be a part of everything he is. He also likes to collect bugs, snakes, frogs, you name it! He loves it at the property in Millington, lots of things to explore and there's also a big sandpit there to play in as well. He and Curt have the same interests out there as well. Always seem to be competing for attention! Erin (2) is a card! She is always into something and is very independent and loves to help and watch everything we do. She can keep up with the boys when we're at the property, but she also loves going to the garden, taking walks and picking flowers in the fields. She loves to read, watch Dora (I told my husband we need to start picking out names for our new baby before Erin names her Dora).

I am 29 weeks pregnant with #7 - I hope to make it to 37 or 38 weeks before having her via C-Section. Being pregnant during the winter isn't quite as as enjoyable as being pregnant during the summer only because I don't feel as active and I worry about slipping and falling the whole time because I'm really good at that! Otherwise, I enjoy being pregnant and feeling baby moving, even if she does keep me up in the night now! If I get up with Erin or Isaac (potty breaks, bad dreams, etc.), I go back to bed and baby thinks it's time to "rock and roll". I have been out of work for 2 months now and am thoroughly enjoying the extra rest (8 hrs. sleep vs 4-5), and ability to get more things done around the house without the stress of time constraints! I've actually been washing walls, getting rid of cobwebs, cleaning out kitchen cabinets, etc! Well, that's enough talk for now, tonight is soulwinning for the girls, then church/kings kids tonight so it is a busy day for us. Have a good day!

Curt is in 5th grade this year, and he is enjoying being with his friends and family.. He also rides the bus with Brooke on Sunday morining and afternoons.. Isaac who is in k-5, loves being outdoors catching frogs and bugs.. Erin is not in school yet, but she wants to be.. She loves going in her Sunday to "class". Her favorite show is Dora the Explorer.. It's cute..
I am a Senior this year, and loving my school year.. In church I am on a bus route, I help in Jr. Church classes, nursery and Kings Kids.. Brooke and I are both in Singing groups, and diffrent little groups as well.. Mom and us girls also sing in the choir and in church.. We have alot of fun..

If you have gotten, our Christmas letter you know that we bought 80 acres of property out in Millington.. So far we only have our barn built to store hay that we will be growing in our second field.. We absolutely love it out there! It is so pretty.. This summer we spent almost every weekend out there.. We had our camper, and all that we needed.. It was alot of fun!

Well that is all that I have time for right now. I am sure mom will post some more later... Have a great day! Merry CHRISTmas!

Love,
Amber
