Off to College again:(

Well, it's that time again, we are leaving tomorrow afternoon to take Amber back to Hyles for her second year of college! Brooke, Curt, Isaac and yes, Erin started school last Monday - where did the summer go???? Erin kept asking how many days til school starts, Mom and Isaac kept asking how many days of summer did he have left! He told Erin once school starts it's going to be looonng, so don't get so excited! She is loving every minute of it (so far, anyway:). She calls her scissors snizzers and likes to snizzer paper! She has a new teacher this year and Isaac does as well and seems to be getting along fine. He just did the routine when I took them the first day and didn't worry about me being there! Curt is in Junior High now and has to dress up now:) He looks sooooo SHARP! I have pictures and will post them later much to his dismay (he hates dressing up). Brooke is in 11th grade and is a great young lady! She is going to the barn 3 times a week to ride Gentleman and loves every minute of it!

So, Amber is downstairs packing away and I am supposed to be in bed! We are leaving some kids home because they have school and we couldn't fit all of them and all of Amber's stuff in one vehicle to go. So, we are taking Lyndsay with us and Brooke will hold down the fort with Aunt Heather checking in...

We have had a busy past few weeks. We got an offer on the house and as long as the inspections, mortgage approvals/inspections, etc. all pass it will be a done deal by mid-October! So, yesterday, Jeremy and I were looking at another option for our property - manufactured/modular homes. We looked at used ones and new ones (9 in all) and think this might be the way to go. The last one in Flint was the best choice - 1792 square feet, 3 bedrooms, with a MASTER SUITE/BATH to die for, kitchen, family room, living room and utility room and another full bath. We will put a basement under and add on a garage later. It is 2x6 walls, drywalled and really nice. An older lady lived there and passed away a year ago. It looks as if it's brand new and never lived in but is 1993! We are making more phone calls this week to see if it's something our township would approve and the mortgage company for the land... So pray for things to go smoothly and it be what the Lord would have us do! It's a lot less expensive than building a house and faster, too!

So, this morning we woke up early, I went jogging and Jeremy mowed the field where the site for the house has been since we bought the property 3 years ago! I came back and got the other tractor going and we finished it fast after a pancake breakfast! Went to church, came back and he went and raked the hayfield at his dad's while I mowed the property lawn and then picked from the garden. Then, ate lunch/dinner and went to bale hay but only got 1/2 done because the back field wasn't dry enough (bummer!). So, tomorrow 1pm -ish we will have to finish baling before we are able to take off for Indiana! We are storing this hay in the barn for the winter because if we end up moving, we will move our horse to our home and need the hay!!! It has been a beautiful weekend and we don't have to back at work until Wednesday! We are spending the night tomorrow night in Indiana then taking Amber to college Monday morning and heading back home in the afternoon.

Well, off to bed with myself - I'll post pictures later - maybe from the hotel if they have Internet:) Have a great Labor Day tomorrow! Christine
